1832.
Mudfords was founded in 1832 by John Horace Mudford, who established the business as a rope maker.
Beginning with rope produced from hand-spun hemp, the business grew and prospered under successive generations of the Mudford family.
As British industry evolved, so did Mudfords. The company expanded beyond its original rope-making roots to manufacture and supply a much wider range of industrial textile products.
Today, that same practical approach continues to shape the business: understanding what customers need and supplying dependable products to help them get the job done.
